Pablo Neruda - Extravagaria (Jonathan Cape, 1972). Translated by Alastair Reid. ISBN: 0224007653 | 304 pages | Bilingual edition | PDF First published in 1958, Extravagaria marks an important stage in Pablo Neruda's progress as a poet. The book was written just after he had returned to Chile after many wanderings and moved to his beloved Isla Negra on the Pacific coast. These sixty-eight poems thus denote a resting point, a rediscovery of sea and land, and an "autumnal period" (as the poet himself called it). In this book, Neruda developed a lyric poetry decidedly more personal than his earlier work. Review "A smart little book that one can happily welcome into the family and allow to start growing old." -- Christopher Lehmann-Haupt, The New York Times __________________________________ For more by Pablo Neruda, see: Pablo Neruda - Selected Poetry (4 books) http://thepiratebay.ee/torrent/8349474/ Pablo Neruda - Sublime Blue: Selected Early Odes (2013) http://thepiratebay.ee/torrent/8995289/ Pablo Neruda - Memoirs (1978) http://thepiratebay.ee/torrent/8355322/
